DHL - even more environmentally friendly!

According to a press release issued by Deutsche Post DHL Group yesterday, the Group's DHL Express Division has become the first company in the world to order twelve "Alice" electric aircraft from Israeli/American manufacturer Eviation.

With the procurement of these aircraft, DHL plans to establish the first electric and zero-emission air freight network and thus take a further, important step towards sustainable aviation. The maiden flight of "Alice" is scheduled for later this year, with the first commercial deliveries to DHL Express expected in 2024.

In the future, "Alice" will be able to be flown by just one pilot and carry over 1,200 kilograms of cargo, with a maximum range of 815 kilometers.

DHL Express is thus continuing its course of successful, low-emission growth. "We firmly believe in the zero-emission future of logistics," emphasizes John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express. "That's why we make sure that all our investments improve our carbon footprint."
