In April of this year, the aviation company Walter (LGW) will change ownership once again. In December 2017, the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings took over LGW together with its personnel and slots from the insolvency estate of Air Berlin. The former Air Berlin subsidiary is now being sold to the Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group, according to buyers and sellers. The purchase price is not known.

The 17 LGW Dash machines will continue to be used by Eurowings under a long-term leasing agreement. Nothing is to change for the approximately 450 employees either, as this is a regulated transfer of business. Zeitfracht Managing Director Wolfram Simon-Schröter announced that the LGW fleet would be expanded in the mid-term. Of the Air Berlin insolvency assets, Zeitfracht had already secured Leisure Cargo, the cargo centre broker, and, together with the buyer Nayak, the Air Berlin technology.
